Anilewicz, Mordecai
(1919-43)
   Polish Zionist. He was born in Wyszkow. He became an active Zionist and, as a member of Ha-Shomer ha-Tzair, was arrested by the Soviet authorities in 1939 for organizing the emigration of Jews to Palestine. As commander of the Jewish Fighting Organization, he led the uprising in the Warsaw Ghetto in April 1943.
